Library Rules
- The library is a place for reading and research. Therefore, strict discipline and absolute silence are to be observed in the library.
- Eating inside the library is strictly prohibited.
- Books and other materials may not be taken out from the library without the permission of the librarian.
- Students should not leave the books on the table but put it back into the shelves after using them.
- Reference books such as Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Handbooks, Yearbooks and Atlases cannot be taken out of the library. Magazines and Newspapers are also not to be taken out of the library.
- Circulation books may be borrowed for a week, renewable for another week, unless in demand.
- Students are expected to check the books before borrowing and immediately report any damage/missing pages etc., to the librarian.
- All lending and borrowing must be entered in the library column in the school diary and duly signed by the Librarian.
- A lost book should be reported immediately to the librarian. It should be replaced by the same or later edition of the book or a corresponding fine must be paid from the time the book was reported lost, up to the time it is replaced.
- Writing, scribbling, tearing pages or any form of defacement of books is strictly prohibited.
- In every term, the books borrowed should be returned two weeks before the commencement of the examination. No book will be issued for home use prior to the final examination.
- Seats must be arranged back in their proper places before leaving the library.
